Vonage yeah i've tried it from a cell and landline as well... my vonage line picks it up

yeah i've tried it from a cell and landline as well... my Vonage line picks it up at "...the sprint messaging..." or somwhere in the middle of the word "to" in "... to the sprint messaging...", whereas landline and cell always pick up and hear the full greeting. for the Vonage line, i always hear an entire, full ringtone (i've YET to hear a partial ring).

for reference, the thread that Steve48 refers to is: http://www.vonage-forum.com/ftopic8237.html

makes you wonder if perhaps there are a couple (or more?) versions of the "RTP300" adapter... maybe a different hardware revision or something. for some people to report no problem and others report the same persistent issue is kinda weird :? and for the Vonage techs to admit that it was a known issue and no "fix" was on the horizon is even more bizarre (is it a known issue where enough people simply have not complained so it's a bean-counter decision to ignore the issue for those who have it?).

for the general lack of response from that other thread quoted above (which made me think this was an isolated, if not mostly ignored, problem) as well as the generally negative response i had from the Vonage techs in talking with them about it, i was actually planning on cancelling my service earlier today. now that more people are posting with similar problems and experience, i'm going to hold off until as late as i can to cancel... and even then i'd prefer not to. the quality of all the calls i've had are almost perfect, but the initial delay in connecting on an outbound call is seriously a problem that i cannot ignore (it's hard to ignore if the delay is sometimes such that people hang up on you because they think the call didn't connect).
