Vonage is listed in the share market as NYSE: VG. It is company that deals with voice over internet protocol network. They provide the VoIP system through their leased telephone lines and high speed broadband connections. They have an oligopoly in the United States Internet phone providers system. They serve 2.4 million subscribers while putting other companies of its kind into competition.

Vonage comes from the United States, Canada, UK and other countries worldwide. They have captured the consumer market aggressively and hence they are leading with their products and services. They expanded their infrastructure throughout USA and Canada. Their current location is in Holmdel, New Jersey. The current chairman as of 2008 is Jeffrey A. Citron.
As per the share market Vonage shares are priced at $17 per share as of 24th May 2006 and in March 2007 the shares dropped to an astounding $3.00 per share. There growth in the broadband providing service has been growing immensely. They tend to be the next big company to rise to the top through the Internet.
The subscribers of Vonage are allowed to choose any number in the country as their primary line if available. Even if the subscribers reside in US, Canada or UK they can choose from any area code of their choice. This service is very beneficiary to many businesses and international client base because of they are allowed to select a virtual number which acts a real phone number.
Even their broadband service has many advantages. Vonage makes bill payment very easy. They also offer international pricing cuts where if a person residing in the US travels to Uruguay and plugs in his LAN connection through
Vonage he/she pays the same amount and no extra fee is deducted. International calls are made cheap through their VoIP service.
Vonage was created through Min-X.com which was an IP telephonic service company. Carlos Bhola changed the way the company worked and eventually led them into a better path. By November 2000 the company looked to be moving towards better customer service and the in 2001 after the expansion into a new office space they were looking towards a better future. As of today the company looks to be doing well in the market.
