October 28, 2005

By Daniel Connor

Welcome to today’s edition of the Vonage VoIP Forum Digest. Today, we'll read about a major consumer electronics retailer and website that will begin carrying Vonage products starting today. We will also learn about an effort underway in the United States Senate to loosen forthcoming FCC rules about E-911 over VoIP. In our popular In The Blogs feature, we'll go over what some of our favorite VoIP bloggers have been writing about this week. Finally, on the Vonage VoIP Forum, one Vonage Forum Member asks for help with his "hang-ups."

Vonage VoIP Forum Digest

October 26, 2005

By Daniel Connor

Welcome to today’s edition of the Vonage VoIP Forum Digest.  Lots of interesting stuff today.

In today's edition of the Vonage Forum Digest, we'll read why some groups are filing a court challenge to a U.S. government regulation that is intended to make Vonage and other VoIP calls able to be tapped in real time by law enforcement agencies. We'll also look at a study that projects how many U.S. households will subscribe to VoIP services such as Vonage five years from now. We will go over a Vonage VoIP Forum thread from a Forum Member who is moving to a rural area and wants to make sure he will be able to get a fast-enough broadband service to run his Vonage connection over. We'll read another thread in which two Forum Members seem to share a problem in which their incoming Vonage calls ring only once, but then are followed by silence.

By Daniel Connor

Welcome to today’s edition of the Vonage VoIP Forum Digest.

In today's edition of the Vonage Forum, we'll catch up on a deal Vonage has signed with a company that will enable Vonage to return, well, servers to service quicker. We take you along with a reviewer for a large newspaper who tested out the new UTStarcom F1000 Wi-Fi Phone with Vonage service. We'll check in with a Vonage VoIP Forum thread that features reports from Vonage users in Florida who were impacted by Hurricane Wilma. And we'll also hit a Vonage Forum thread about a router that won't seem to work well with a Vonage Forum Member's new broadband Internet service provider.

In today's edition of the Vonage Forum, we will read about how one personal finance columnist thinks a Vonage account can help you efficiently manage your household expenses. We'll review Vonage Forum threads on what to do if your Vonage connection doesn't ring or produce a dial tone, and how to guard against power outages by buying a UPS (Uninterruptible Power Supply) and not paying a fortune for it. Finally, as we do every Monday, we'll meet our Vonage VoIP Forum Member of the Week.

By Daniel Connor

Welcome to today's edition of the Vonage VoIP Forum Digest. In today's edition, we'll write about what the Canadian government is doing to compel Vonage and other VoIP providers to warn their Canadian customers about the current limits of E911. In our popular Friday In the Blogs feature, we review what some of the VoIP bloggers we read regularly have written about this week. We'll look at a new Vonage VoIP Forum thread with a day-by-day account of a new Vonage user's experiences in getting his number switched over from his old phone company to his Vonage account. Finally, we'll tell you how you can write your own review of Vonage's services or products- and get that review posted on the Vonage VoIP Forum!

Welcome to today's edition of the Vonage VoIP Forum Digest. In today's edition, we will take a look at the folks who argue Vonage's case to the U.S. government. We'll see how many folks saw Vonage's Internet ads last week. We'll look at new Vonage Forum threads from new Forum members who have yet to sign up for Vonage's service- but would like some questions answered before they do. Our Forum Members answer those questions - which is, I'd bet, one of the many reasons you are here.

So let's get started ...

Vonage VoIP Forum Digest

October 18, 2005

By Daniel Connor

Welcome to today's edition of the Vonage VoIP Forum Digest. In today's edition, we will dwell heavily on E911, looking at news stories about a new solution Vonage just signed up for on Monday; where and when a key Vonage exec will give his thoughts on Vonage's E911 effort, and then finally, what your obligations are toward Vonage and E911- which you should take care of before Halloween. In keeping with the 911 theme of today's Digest, we'll look at a new forum with lots of posts from readers who have been wondering if their Vonage service was equipped to handle 911 calls or if they needed to resubmit their information in order for it to work properly.

Welcome to today's edition of the Vonage VoIP Forum Digest. In today's edition, we'll check in on how a Vonage-sponsored race car driver with a very famous name did last Saturday, and for the season. We'll read new Vonage VoIP Forum threads on a variety of topics, including a voice mail indicator that won't work behind a firewall, whether or not to buy a $10 stand Linksys offers for its Vonage-compatible equipment, and just what might be causing disconnects that one Vonage user and Vonage Forum member is experiencing. We'll also meet our current Vonage VoIP Forum member of the week.
