Welcome to today's edition of the Vonage VoIP Forum Digest. In the news, we'll let you know that yes, the Vonage UTStarcom F1000 Wi-Fi Phone starts shipping today. We'll let you know about this phone's capabilities. But if your kids have something else on their wish list, we'll let you know how and even where, they can call Santa directly over Vonage. We'll get an update on a  Vonage VoIP Forum thread about a controversy in which it appears that Vonage calls have been blocked by the Middle Eastern nation of Qatar, and what some Vonage users there - some of whom would want to call their U.S.-based friends or family over Christmas - have decided to do about it. We'll also review a thread in which one of our most familiar members has figured out how to direct-dial his Vonage box from his PC- and he tells you how to do so as well.

Welcome to today's edition of the Vonage VoIP Forum Digest. In the news, We'll point you to an article that describes how Vonage rates the effectiveness of their ads on specific websites, and what happens on those occasions when those ads don't prove all that cost-effective. We'll look in on a  Vonage VoIP Forum thread in which Vonage users in an oil-rich Middle Eastern nation are trying to decide how to get the ADSL provider there to unblock Vonage. Another thread deals with a complex wiring issue a new Vonage Forum Member is experiencing, and some valuable tips from a veteran Vonage Forum Member about how to solve the issue so that the new Member has dial tones in every phone in his new home. Finally, this being Monday, we'll meet our new Vonage Forum Member of the Week.

First, I would like to repeat some very exciting news I first wrote about in Wednesday's edition. Tuesday at 3:13 p.m. Eastern Time, the Vonage Forum got our 15 millionth page view since we started up in March, 2003. Every time you click on a page, that's one page view. So keep those page views- and those clicks- coming!

In the news, we'll tell you about a cell phone distributor that is getting into the Vonage retail business, and introduce you to a U.K.-based musical instruments distributor who has slashed his phone bills in half since he has switched his business phones to Vonage. We'll also point you to a Vonage VoIP Forum thread from a Member whose calls keep cutting out, and another from a Member who likes fast cars but not fast rings.
