Canadians No Strangers To Phone Sex

Vonage Press Releases<

One-third have done it. One-quarter want to do it with Brad or Angelina. And most Canadians prefer it over love letters to keep long-distance relationships hot: finds survey by Internet phone company Vonage Canada.

Toronto, ON – February 8, 2005 - When it comes to getting down and dirty on the phone this Valentine’s Day, Angelina Jolie and Brad Pitt top the polls with Canadians. A recent survey from Internet phone company Vonage Canada, carried out by Decima Research, shows that more than one quarter (29 percent) of Canadian women would most like to have an intimate phone conversation with Hollywood hottie Brad Pitt this February 14, with 25 percent of men rating Angelina Jolie – Mr and Mrs Smith, Lara Croft Tomb Raider - as their preferred partner for a ‘hot ‘n heavy’ Valentine’s phone call.

Vonage Gets Bells Ringing With A UK Launch

Vonage Press ReleasesVonage Gets Bells Ringing With A UK Launch

London, January 06, 2004
- Vonage, the leading provider of broadband phone services in North America, today announces its plans for launch in the United Kingdom.

Launching on the 6 January 2005, Vonage products will be available to buy through the website www.vonage.co.uk.

Vonage offers consumers and small businesses an affordable alternative to traditional telephone services by using Voice over Internet Protocol (VoIP) to make phone calls using a standard telephone, rather than a headset plugged into a PC.

Vonage provides a convenient phone adapter/router which converts analogue signals to digital signals which plugs into a broadband connection. A standard telephone can then be plugged into the adapter so that when a call is made or received the signal is converted to digital and routed through a high-speed DSL or cable modem across the Internet and back through a traditional phone network to the receiver’s phone – providing low cost and high quality phone calls anywhere in the world.

“Establishing Vonage within Europe and with a strong central base in the United Kingdom has always been a priority”, said Jeffrey A. Citron, chairman and CEO of Vonage. “As a leading provider of broadband phone service, Vonage is rapidly becoming an industry benchmark. We are very pleased to demonstrate our commitment to the European market and to offer UK customers our full-featured, cost-effective calling plans.”

Offers start at £9.99 per month which will include unlimited calling to landline phones within the UK and to the Republic of Ireland, as well as free benefits including:

Citron, chairman and CEO of Vonage Holdings Corporation.   “Having added more than 300,000 lines in 2004, Vonage has once again illustrated its prowess in leading the transformation of the telecommunications industry.”

New SIP-Enabled Handset Features Unparalleled Talk and Standby Time When Compared with Competitive Wi-Fi Phones

ALAMEDA, Calif., Jan. 4, 2005 - UTStarcom, Inc. (Nasdaq: UTSI), a global leader in IP-based, end-to-end networking solutions and services, today announced the debut of its F1000 portable Wi-Fi handset for the U.S. market.

UTStarcom's F1000 Wi-Fi handset untethers consumers from their traditional phone lines, allowing them to make calls from anywhere there is a Wi-Fi hot spot's at home, at work, around the town; in airports, coffee shops, and hotels; and even internationally. The F1000 handset, which has received U.S. regulatory approval, provides all the features and functionality of a VoIP terminal adapter together with a standard cordless telephone, but has the advantage of letting the user talk from any available Wi-Fi access point instead of just the base that they have at home. UTStarcom believes that the features and price point of the F1000 Wi-Fi portable handset will be disruptive in the local telephone service market,¨ said Howard Frisch, product manager, UTStarcom.
