 Local Area Code Selection now Available in the Mountain State
HOLMDEL, N.J., Oct. 18 /PRNewswire/ -- Vonage America Inc., a
subsidiary of Vonage Holdings Corp., a leading
provider of broadband telephone service, today announced that it now
offers West Virginia's local area code.
High-speed Internet subscribers working and residing in the
Appalachian Mountains can now take advantage of the Vonage®
broadband phone service, which offers unlimited local and long
distance calling and popular features like call waiting, call
forwarding and voicemail for one low, flat monthly rate. Vonage
customers in Appalachia can now keep their current numbers or choose
telephone numbers within the popular (304) area code. Making their
lives even simpler, Vonage allows its customers to personally
control the way they communicate. No longer do they need to call
their phone company when they want to make changes to their

HOLMDEL, N.J., Oct. 17 /PRNewswire-FirstCall/ -- Vonage America
Inc., a subsidiary of Vonage Holdings Corp., a leading
Internet telephony provider, today announced that over 91% of its
U.S. subscriber lines are now equipped with Enhanced 911 (E911)
service -- a feature that automatically associates a physical
address with the calling party's telephone number.
In less than 30 days, Vonage has equipped an additional 80
locally-run emergency call centers across the U.S. with E911 --
bringing the total number of calling centers with emergency 911
service to over 5900.
Vonage's nomadic E911 solution gives customers the ability to
reach a Public Safety Answering Point (PSAP), or 911 center, through
the dedicated 911 network infrastructure. With Vonage's nomadic E911
solution, a customer's call is automatically routed to the
appropriate 911 center, with the caller's registered street address
and telephone number appearing on the dispatcher screen --
regardless of where or what exchange they are calling from. Vonage
will continue to turn up and test new PSAPs that are VoIP-ready
every day.
