That said, a lot of things can cause a change state to the router. Daily lease expirations of WAN IPs, if you set expirations for your LAN IPs, etc. can all impact the WPA-TKIP status. Since it is happening on all devices, something is happening at the router level to cause a "hiccup", whether intended or not... that is causing a drop of the WiFi connection.

I would pull up a status on a wireless nic to see if your IP changes when it happens. If your IP goes into something funky like a 192 localhost type address, you have an issue with your WPA losing sync with the router.

I would also give one of your wireless machines a static IP to see if that rules out the problem. Otherwise check the router config advanced specs and make sure you arent inducing unnecessary latency in a config that would cause a drop.[/quote]

Thanks for the ideas.

I am losing a layer 1 connection when the wireless drops so it isn't the DHCP hiccuping. I checked the leases for the clients and it is still set to 8 days so I doubt this is causing the problem. I also confirmed that I am not getting an AIPA address.

My BellSouth DSL lease is handled by the Westell router so the "outside" of the WRTP54G is static.
