[quote="dahlekPhotoJim, do you have any device plugged into your Voip router? If so, can that device get through that router and into your internal network? The vonage-router itself has access to my LAN - rather, I can ping it, etc., and it can see and use my gateway and so forth...I just can't seem to get anything behind my Voip router to see my internal network. The router itself simply makes an internal-internal network of just two nodes - that device and the router itself. For example, the laptop which I have connected to the vonage-router can access the config interface to the router using the router's internal ip, and I can ping it as well - but that's all I can ping ;)[/quote]

Here is my config... ignoring the extraneous stuff that's irrelevant:

Cablemodem <-> WiFi router <-> 16-port switch <-> Voip router <-> computer

(No critiquing of my setup :) ... I plug a computer into the Voip router because I only have one piece of cable going into the living room and I don't want to introduce another switch because it adds latency.)

The Voip router is connected to my switch via its WAN port. The computer is connected to one of the three LAN ports. My LAN is 192.168.2.*; the Voip router has a 192.168.2.* address on the WAN port and a local address of 192.168.15.1 (the factory default).

Without changing any of the default configuration settings, the computer hooked up through the Voip router can ssh, ftp and SMB fileshare with my server, which is on the same switch as the WAN port of the Voip router is. In other words, there is a firewall (in the Voip router) between my computer and the LAN, but things work anyway.

My server thinks that that computer has the same IP address as the Voip router does on my LAN (192.168.2.whatever) because of NAT, but that doesn't seem to impede function.

The only problem I note is speed. It takes a long time to move large amounts of data over the network behind the Voip router, probably because the WAN port only runs at 10Base T speeds instead of 100BaseTX.

Yes, that will work but you will need a crossover cable or if the hub has an uplink
ok, the wired hub says it has a built in shared uplink port, so I would just plug an
