Voice-over-Internet-protocol provider Vonage Holdings Corp. announced that 600 Circuit City Stores Inc. locations, plus the retailer's Web site (www.circuitcity.com), will start offering its phone service. Customers can sign up for Vonage at the store and purchase $99.99 starter kits. Vonage now offers rate plans between $14.99-$49.99 per month. Circuit City is also offering Vonage customers two months of free service and free activation when they purchase starter kits and sign up for service. "Offering Vonage in our stores enables us to provide a new service to a rapidly growing base of customers who are also broadband subscribers," said Ron Baime, senior vice president and general merchandise manager of audio, video and technology at Circuit City, in a prepared statement.
