Sorry.Got tied up all day attempting ot get the phone to work.
We bought a 5 port hub.didn't help.
So here is all the info:
we have a Time warner motorola cable modem
the Linksys rpt 300 phone modem;MODEL NO
RPT 300.i know ..flipped it over.
We gave up and disconnected everything so we could have an internet connection.
Keep in mind that the Motorola only has one port on the back to plug in the cable and that has to go to the computer for the internet connection to work.
We kept getting a message that the cable was unplugged when we had the linksys hooked up.The problem was that it was not.
As soon as we removed the link sys device and phone etc. and went back to the internet connection(no phone though)-no problem.
So you're saying if we change the address that should do it?
What then happens to our internet connection if we change our ip address?
Won't we lose that then?
And where do we change this? Can we? I thought this was determined by the provider?
We need an answer asap.At this point we have no phone and in our situation we definitely need one.Husband and i are not best of health.
We were using my mother's cell phone but the min ran out.BIG PROBLEM THOUGH:where do you change the address at?
We'd be wlling to try this but where do you change the address at? You can't..unless youi know something we don't.
Scratches head.
