First, I'd like to repeat an announcement I first made in yesterday's Digest:

In an effort to assist me in dealing with spam posts and other rule violations, I have installed a new post report feature. Logged in member will now see in every post. Clicking on it will generate a simple popup box for post reporting. It then will notify me immediately.

Members are asked to use this tool and to not respond to the offending post.

In the news, we'll read about what a key Vonage executive sees as some of the differences between Vonage and Skype (which some people compare Vonage to ,inaccurately in my opinion) Then let's go straight to a Vonage Forum thread about Vonage adapter set-up issues, and then there's this thread about. First, a couple of announcements.

Second, on Monday we passed 37 million page views since the Vonage Forum was launched nearly three years ago. Every time you click on a page here, that's one more page view. So let's see how quickly we can get to 38 million!

In the news, we'll catch up on what's been going on in that patent infringement trial between Vonage and Verizon. Then let's go straight to a Vonage Forum thread about adapter setup, and another thread which is about trying to determine a solution to call quality issues. HOLMDEL, N.J., Feb 26, 2007 /PRNewswire-FirstCall via COMTEX News Network/ -- In the last week, several media reports have inaccurately speculated on the outcome and impact that Verizon's patent litigation now being heard in U.S. District Court in Alexandria, Va. would have on Vonage's business.

These same media reports overlooked Vonage's strong balance sheet and contingency plans for maintaining uninterrupted operations.
"It is wrong and irresponsible to presuppose either the outcome or the impact this litigation would have on our business," said Mike Snyder, Vonage's chief executive officer. "First and foremost, we are confident we have not infringed on any of Verizon's patents and, in any case, we believe the Verizon patents are invalid."
