Vonage Drops Select International Call Rates to a Penny-Per-Minute

Vonage Press ReleasesNew Rates Included for All Residential and Business Customers

HOLMDEL, N.J., March 12, 2007 /PRNewswire-FirstCall via COMTEX News Network/ -- In an effort to pass more savings to its customers, Vonage has dropped its already low-priced international calling rates to just one cent per minute in certain locations. The move means an even cheaper way for customers to keep in touch with family and friends in different countries.

Vonage's new international calling rates will be available for new and existing customers in the US and Canada. Areas include locations in Argentina, Australia, China, Mexico, Singapore, Israel, Poland, and Sweden. See chart below for details.

"Vonage is constantly looking for new and innovative ways to save our customers even more money," said Vonage CEO, Mike Snyder. "We have dropped our international rates as low as possible because we understand that many customers choose Vonage as a cheap and easy way to stay in touch with family scattered around the globe."

Vonage VoIP Forum Digest

March 12, 2007

By Daniel Connor

Welcome to today's edition of the Vonage VoIP Forum Digest.

First I have some fabulous news. Late Friday, we passed 100,000 posted articles in the Vonage Forum since we started four years ago this month. By article, I predominantly mean posts to threads- as well as other content. Congratulations to all of us as we steam forward.

In the news, we'll read what Vonage Chairman Jeffrey Citron says about any effect on Vonage's service as a result of the patent infringement ruling in the Vonage-Verizon dispute. .Then, let's go straight to a Vonage Forum thread about static IPs and port forwarding and another thread about router-related performance measurement. Then we'll update Vonage's stock price.

Vonage Affirms Company's Strength and Outlook

Vonage Press ReleasesVonage issued the following statement regarding the company's strength and outlook following its partial victory yesterday in the U.S. District Court in the patent litigation case brought by Verizon.

HOLMDEL, N.J., March 9, 2007 /PRNewswire-FirstCall via COMTEX News Network/ -- Vonage expressed the utmost confidence in the following:

-- Vonage is not going out of business.
-- There will be no loss of service to our customers.
-- Our customers will experience no change in their phone service.

In the unlikely event the monetary award ($58 million) and royalties are ultimately upheld/paid, they will not jeopardize Vonage's financial position as we focus on achieving profitability. Vonage is equipped to handle these costs, while still running our business as we always have.

"We are confident in Vonage's future health, growth prospects and longevity," said Jeffrey R. Citron, Vonage's chairman and chief strategist.

If the judge issues an injunction, Vonage is confident it will be able to successfully stay it and are equally confident in the strength of our appeal.

Vonage Vindicated on Four of Seven Patents

Vonage Press ReleasesHOLMDEL, N.J., March 8, 2007 /PRNewswire-FirstCall via COMTEX News Network/ -- We are delighted that the jury rejected Verizon's meritless claim that we infringed their two billing patents. Of the seven patents Verizon originally sued on, they prevailed on only three and we expect that verdict to be reversed on appeal. The jury's damage award represents a 70% reduction from Verizon's $197MM claim. The jury also unanimously rejected Verizon's claim that Vonage willfully infringed its patents.

In addition, we don't believe there is any basis to support Verizon's request for an injunction and we will have the opportunity to present our position to the trial court shortly. If the trial court does impose an injunction, we will seek an immediate stay from the Federal Court of Appeals. Vonage's customers should see no change to any aspect of their phone service.

Vonage VoIP Forum Digest

March 5, 2007

By Daniel Connor

Welcome to today's edition of the Vonage VoIP Forum Digest.

Before we get started, I have a couple of announcements.

First, it's our birthday! We Launched the Vonage Forums on March 5, 2003. Today is March 5, 2007. So not only are we four years old today, but we are rapidly closing in on a fabulous number- a total of 100,000 articles posted in the Forum since we started. When the sun came up this morning, we were less than 300 articles from that goal! I'm guessing we are going to hit that threshold before the week is out.

In the news, we'll tell you where and when you can hear Vonage CEO Mike Snyder speak tomorrow.. Then let's go straight to a Vonage Forum thread about chargers for the Vonage VTech, as well as a thread about a Vonage feature referred to as call hunt. Then we'll update Vonage's stock price.

Vonage VoIP Forum Digest

March 2, 2007

By Daniel Connor

Welcome to today's edition of the Vonage VoIP Forum Digest.

First, I'd like to repeat an announcement I first made in Wednesday's Digest:

In an effort to assist me in dealing with spam posts and other rule violations, I have installed a new post report feature. Logged in member will now see in every post. Clicking on it will generate a simple popup box for post reporting. It then will notify me immediately.

Members are asked to use this tool and to not respond to the offending post.

In the news, we'll tell you where and .when you can hear Vonage's CEO speak. Then let's go straight to a Vonage Forum thread about QoS (Quality of Service), as well as a thread about phone and fax. Then we'll update Vonage's stock price.
