This one time, I went to the car dealer to buy a car. I found exactly what I wanted and brought a Toyota Prius home with me. On the way home the engine light came on, so they gave me a Toyota Tundra instead. I complained that I just wanted the Prius they sold me, but they insisted that they would only give me a Tundra. I don't have room to park this Tundra, it's a gas hog and I already have a truck. I bought a Prius for a specific reason, and now I'm stuck with two trucks, one of which I never wanted in the first place.

At my company, we've got 36,000 employees. About 26,000 of them are mobile users who are often away from home for days or weeks at a time. I sure wouldn't want to carry around my RT31P2 as Vonage's "Take-It-With-You" solution. Besides the bulkiness, it's not as easy to disconnect it from your home network when you're heading out. Assuming you hook it up as Vonage recommends, you're stripping your router and DHCP server from your network, so you'd have to reconfigure every time you leave and come home again. Sure there are other ways to hook everything up, but if you follow Vonage's recommendations, it would be a huge headache.
