maybe I can help.

if you used to have 2 POTS lines then how were your phones connected? Did you have 2 line phones on all your jacks?

If so, then the solution is very easy as DLevenson says. All you do is plug Vonage into the 1st line and make sure you disconnect the 1st line from your ATT POTS network interface in the back or side of your house.

What you might need is a 2 line splitter. I.e. it takes a jack that has 2 lines coming in can be split into 2 jacks and then you connect Vonage into the line 1.

In other words, get something like this:

Be sure not to get the splitter that let's you share the same line.
Do not get this:
http://www.trianglecables.com/teldupadspli.html

notice how they both look the same but the first pic has line 1; line 2; lines 1+2 on it so you know that it is splitting line 1 from line 2 etc.

The 2nd pic does not have any labels so it is letting you share line 1 with 2 phones or a fax and a phone etc.

I personally just share the same jack with my phone using the 2nd type of "splitter."
