Vonage i am not getting a dial tone on my phone. it is an at&t cordless telephone answering

i am not getting a dial tone on my phone. it is an at&t cordless telephone answering maching w/ a second handset. i did try another phone with only one handset and i get a dial tone. is there a setting that i need to change with vonage? - 1. Your location pennsylvania 2. Your ISP name and type comcast cable 3. Upload and download speeds UP 362 kbps DOWN 3.65 Mbps 4. Modem make and model scientific american DPC2100 5. Type of Vonage adapter used ie RT31P2 or PAP2 not sure it is motorola VT2142-VD 6. Setup of Network ie Modem > wirless router > vonage adapter > phone 7. Issue you are experiencing ie dropped calls, choppy audio etc no dial tone with multiple handset cordless phone, i do get dial tone with a single handset cordless phone Download 3,653,736 bps Upload 362,424 bps QOS 79% RTT 0 ms MaxPause 230 ms i did powerdown. all my lights are blinking. i changed the port from 1 to 2. it all works until i plug in a multiple handset cordless phone. i tried 2 different multiple handset phones thanks

• I believe the dial tone is generated from your Vonage device (locally). Try
• i reset and still nothing
• I would try a different cord between the Vonage device and the phone base unit.
• i tried a different cord. checked the power. and we are in the proper unit. the single
• Only thing I can think of (and never heard of) is that if your vonage device has wireless
• i changed to channel 1. still no dial tone. the single handset phone is a 2.4ghz
• I am absolutely stumped! Perhaps someone else on the forum might have an idea.
