Thanks!

<grin> If you take a look at some of my other postings, you'd never accuse me of being an apologist for Vonage. My personal opinion is that overall, the product they're supplying is very good, but their customer service is absolutely abominable.

Yep! Heck, before they look at setting up a forum to answer customer questions about future directions, how about if they just first focus on actually answering customer support emails rather than absolutely ignoring them? Baby steps here!

More important than this is globalization or better said, global thinking. Mexico is one of the US largest trading partners and in order to support America's ambitions, having the support of ancillary corporations would or could turn into a win win situation. In this case, being able to count on Vonage services where you do business would or should be beneficial. Anything wrong with this type of thinking??? |
For the most part, nothing wrong at all! I agree, it would seem to be a win/win for both countries. The only comment I'd make is that its not at all obvious that its a "win" for Vonage and in our free market system, its not up to Vonage to provide that win/win to the two countries involved, at a loss. If its a win/win for the countries, then its up to the governments to make such services viable, either by subsidizing them, or in Mexico's case, by encouraging more competition in broadband access - or at a minimum to require that the monopoly incumbent quit blocking Voip service. |
