Post subject: Fax issue
I have Panasonic KX- FHD331.
When ever i get a phone call the fax picks up before it goes to voice mail.
I have to disconnect the fax machine and connect it when ever i need to send or recieve a fax.
I use *99 before dialing and most of the times it works fine.
Anyone help.

Can you not set the FAX machine to wait a few extra rings before answering? Your

line is not going to have any way to know whether it's a FAX calling or not.
You could also upgrade to the "business" account. That includes a second line with its own dedicated number for FAX.

Or break out the book for the fax machine and search for a setting to always make it manually receive. That way when you know someone is faxing you something you can hit the button to receive it.

You only need to dial *99 if you have the bandwidth saver activated. If it's set to 90 kbps, *99 has no effect.
