Can anyone help? The customer service is worthless and I am to the point I am going to cancel.
I can make outgoing calls fine. However, incoming calls get a recording that the number is not a working number. I have called customer service numerous times and get far enough for them to say the account is active, but after speaking a few minutes i get a fast busy signal and disconnected. I am calling from a cell phone. |

Are you a new sub? Has this just happened or has it always been like this?
I know when I signed up I had a similar issue. Come to find out the phone # they gave me on my confirmation and the actual number assigned to me were totally different. I just used the # on the account page when i logged into the Vonage website and everything has been fine since.
I'm not sure if that is your issue or not. Also you might want to try resetting your router and let it sync up for a good 10 min and try calling from it. |

I have had Vonage for several months. I was receiving calls just fine this afternoon and all of a sudden incoming calls get the recording. I have reseated all cables and rebooted several times. |

I began having the same problem yesterday--one caller was repeatedly got a "not a working number" recording when calling from his Verizon landline. He was able to reach me by using his Verizon Wireless phone.
This is not a router issue. I received calls from others during the time this caller was trying to reach me. His calls didn't show up on my activity report. |

I was able to reach Vonage Support this morning, and the person I spoke to confirmed a Verizon-Vonage problem yesterday, which has since been fixed. I didn't get the details. I hope it doesn't happen again. There's nothing like having clients think your phone's been disconnected!
By the way, I have been a customer for several months, and I'm using Time Warner Cable in Central New York for my broadband connection. |
