A friend now the street tried it and it works and mine still does not. I guess it has to be either a problem with the router (RT31P2) or my Vonage account. Any suggestions besides calling Vonage?

Seriously, you'll probably have to call Vonage. I noticed the other day that "933" (the number to test 911 availability) doesn't work for me any more (I get "international calling is not available"), but I can call and listen to Santie Claws. LOL.

I called Vonage and they applied some changes and had be reboot the router. It worked after that. The person I talked to didn't even know about this and just made some changes so they could trap some debug information. But whatever he did fixed it so we went no further

Probably not, I haven't tried it but the number verification software on the web site would most likely reject the number.

Good guess, Tier III Support, but try again! My RT31P2 talks to Mr. S. Claus just fine - and 933 works also.

Uhh, read a bit more carefully. The NEXT line reads: "Linksys RT31P2 are one of the devices with the error." That pretty clearly implies that the "SOME" that you say is the keyword means some MODELS in that message, and the RT31P2 is one of the MODELS with the error. The fact that MY RT31P2 works fine while others don't proves that its not MODEL specific, despite the letter's inference that it is.

Based on this thread, I had tried 933 and that also was not working. Whatever Vonage did to fix my 'Santa' problem also fixed 933 because it does work.
