I had the previous model Linksys adapter and found it better to put it after my DLink router. Reason being it impacted internet performance for surfing and listening to internet radio via iTunes. This unit, RPT300, seems to be better but on occasion I wonder. I thought I read it was best to put the RPT300 after the cable modem and before the LAN router for QOS reasons.

Anyone, found differently? Has anyone put the RPT300 after their LAN router and had success?

I've had my setup both ways and found it to work best for me with the phone adapter after my wireless router due to speed issues. I do ocassionally reverse my setup with the adapter after the modem only to access the adapter settings.

Actually if you're hooked up correctly you can login to the Linksys even if it is hooked up after router.

As you probably know from my previous posts, I'm not a fan of putting any of the Vonage routers in front of another router. However, unless your D-Link includes QoS, you probably DO want to put your Vonage one "out front". I don't know how good the QoS in the Vonage router is, though. My WRTP54G did not prioritize its own voice traffic, and I had to put a WRT54G with real QoS in front of it, and my Vonage line got a LOT better.

Ok, so how do you do that when they are on separate subnets? Enable Remote Management and put a route to it into the other router?

LOL. You had it figured out. (Trust your instincts Luke...feel the force!)

I may flip my adapter and router around again to try it. When I first got the RPT300 I set it up behind my DLink DI-784 but I had issues with Vonage then. Went away when I put it behind the cable modem instead.

I have my rtp300 behind my router as well. I would not recomment putting you Voip adapter behind any wireless connection. I would plug the wireless connection into the adapter.

Why would you say that? That makes no sense at all. Many of us here have our adapters behind good wireless routers with working QoS and it works quite well that way.
