I need something kind of like efax but mostly to receive faxes.

I could care a less if the number is local or not.

Please advise.

Thanks

Well, why not eFax? I used it in the past and loved it.

Does it not work well for you?

They are kind of pricey.

The free acount only allows 20 pages per month and I get fax spam so it goes against my account.

Try doing a google search for "virtual fax". This is the generic term for eFax replacement and will provide you with both paid advertisements and search hits for companies offering virtual fax service.

Also you might want to try Free Fax Services and Internet Fax Providers

Good luck!

I remember the fax spam, but was told they fixed that.

I sure someone will have a solution for you here.

{Craig T.} If I may, I suggest that you keep the account for at least the end of the current billing cycle. You still have some time left in the billing cycle. If you find that you may need the account by the end of this time, then you would still be having it, else you can always contact us back any time by the end of this period and confirm.
{Darrell Manson} Please can I cancel now as I have not used it apart from checking mi dads machine and now have no use for it . and having to do this again is just more hassle Smile
{Craig T.} We really value your association and relationship with us. You may not be using it currently, but in the longer run it is definitely helpful to have a faxing service you can rely on. We have an exclusive offer for you. If you wish to keep this account, then you can avail a one time offer on this account. You can keep this account at a nominal, one time activation fee of GBP 7.50(Non-refundable), for the next 90 days.
{Darrell Manson} I know your following your training lol sorry i just want to close it
{Craig T.} All right, Darrell.
{Craig T.} We are very sorry to hear that you are leaving us. We will cancel the account immediately. If ever your faxing needs change, please do consider our service. We will be glad to have you as our customer.
{Craig T.} Is there anything else you would like to have assistance with?
{Darrell Manson} Thx Craig av a nice evenin Smile
{Craig T.} Wish you the same.
{Craig T.} Thank you for contacting j2 Global Online Support. I hope you found our assistance helpful.
{Craig T.} Bye and take care.

Check out SmartFax. Their price is quite competitive. You can even try their service for free. They have a 30 day trial. I use smartfax and I only pay $6.95 a month.

You can find some online fax reviews that compare efax and various other online fax services.

Hope that helps!
