Efax alternative

I need something kind of like efax but mostly to receive faxes.

I could care a less if the number is local or not.

Please advise.

Well, why not eFax? I used it in the past and loved it.

Does it not work well for you?

The free acount only allows 20 pages per month and I get fax spam so it goes against my account.

Try doing a google search for "virtual fax". This is the generic term for eFax replacement and will provide you with both paid advertisements and search hits for companies offering virtual fax service.

Also you might want to try Free Fax Services and Internet Fax Providers

Check out SmartFax. Their price is quite competitive. You can even try their service for free. They have a 30 day trial. I use smartfax and I only pay $6.95 a month.
