I see this as a last resort should our situation not be resolved through other means. Though I will be seeking compensation for the prorated rate paid to QTel during which I have not had access to voice over IP.
Mr. Connor,
Why are you reminding us so late about a prohibition on calls to action? You've posted several times since the petition was first mentioned. Vague hints at doing this for our own good? Are you aware of something we aren't?
HMMMMm..... I'm a little confused

Mr Conner runs this little slice of IP telephony heaven on his own dime and own rules. I'm happy for it and comply with the rules set down, because as a popular American TV judge would say, "This is HIS house." I think the implication that he is "aware of something we aren't" is not warranted. This board was introduced to be a meeting place for the sharing of ideas belonging to a fledgling technology. While I certainly think the blocking of
Voip
is Qatar is criminal, this is not a political sounding board, but a great gathering of geeks who like to tinker, and help others.

Hi Guys,
I agree with my colleague navydavy2001. This is Mr. Conner portal and we need to respect his rules. As for my self, I do apologize for breaking those rules, which we all should know by now (not to call for action, signing petition, and or giving links to other portals that calls for action) Please let's play by these rules.
We all should focus on finding a technical solution while our Ambassador is looking for a political one. If any Techno Geek has a solution we can try out, please contact me or my colleague Ahmad on our Private Message and we are willing try any suggested solution; moreover, due to my limited computer knowledge I advice you concentrate on Ahmad.
Thanks,

Voip
blocking decision", thanks for your continous help.

Congratulation, to every one that participated in this
Loss of
Voip
in Qatar
thread. As many of you, have heard that
Vonage
is on
, and my wife just placed a call to the States. I also want to thank the American Ambassador to Qatar Mr. Chase Untermeyer for making this happen. Gooool Chase!
I also want to thank Mr. Conner and the guys at the Vonage-Forum for their help.
Good luck and God Bless you all and God Bless America.

Mr. Mardini and all wonderful group here.. I am so happy to hear the GOOD NEWS. My wife and kids will be so pleased when they find out about this when I wake them up in their time.. Thanks a million to our Ambassador who promptly reacted and supported his people. Again, I'm so proud to hold the American Passport.
I would like also to raise my hat to the Qatari authorities who revert the Order and corrected the situation. This confirms my first perception that this countrty is definetly moving forward on the right track.

Post subject: VoIP is Back
Hi Guys,
Vonage
(VoIP) service is back and restored, I do not understand why some people are still suggesting solutions and some are still using inappropriate remarks at Qtel. We should be happy, rejoicing and thanking God for getting
Voip
back.
For me, Mission is accomplished and this thread should be locked.
Thanks for your participation.
