Here is more info on the WiFi phone... It is normally $129.99 and, with an INSTANT rebate, the purchase price is $79.99.
The normal $129.99 is higher than the $99 price I read somewhere a while back... The trick is to buy while the INSTANT rebate is available.
I also remember reading, this was a while back, that it would work with your existing service... After reading this, it appears that it will be a separate line on your account... bummer
Here is the info from Vonage:

Hmmm..... If I read this right it will work off my present network if I install a wireless router? No added cost after buying the phone and I finally get ACR? For $80.00 I'm willing to go for it if my presumptions are correct! Where do I buy one? |

If you have a wireless router in your home already, regardless if it is Vonage enabled or not your Wi-Fi phone will work. |

I asked a Vonage customer service about the WiFi device when I called in concerning an issue I had. A few minutes later I received an email that started out:
Dear Mr. Schultz,
Per our phone conversation a few minutes ago regarding the Wi-Fi Phones, see below: Vonage. Wi-Fi Phone From UTStarcom
The from address: Vonage DigitalVoice Customer Care [customerservice@vonage.com]

What are you talking about? A wireless router by itself does not enable SIP/VoIP telephony. The phone may see the router (WiFi) but it certainly isn't going to have a dialtone unless it is set up with a Voip provider, and it's not going to work with Vonage unless Vonage has set it up on their network. |
