My local landline telephone company is Verizon and I have Verizon DSL.
Has anyone dropped their Verizon landline, kept their Verizon DSL, and gotten Vonage?
Does Verizon charge you any kind of a monthly fee for keeping your phone jack alive for DSL, or do you just pay your usual DSL charges? |

In order to do what you are asking you must verify that Verizon offers "Naked DSL" in your area. I would call your Verizon Online customer service dept and make sure you can do this. In most cases you can't drop your Verizon landline and keep your DSL.
In my case I upgraded from Verizon DSL to Verizon FIOS, which effectively cancelled my DSL service, but I kept my VZ landline. Now I am porting my Verizon landline number over to Vonage, which from what I hear might take months. |
