I am trying to forward SSH through my RT31P2 v1.30.01 and cannot get it to work. It works if I put the host in the DMZ so I know it isn't sshd on my host.
I have it set in the Application & Gaming section as Ext Port 2222, Tcp, Int Port 22, and the IP Address as 10 which matches the static on my host (192.168.15.10). I have tried external ports 10022, 5022, 4022 and 2222 and none of them work.
I uses to have a Linksys wireless router and had it in the DMZ of my Voip router. It has the exact same port forwarding configuration screens and when I used it to do the port forwarding it worked perfectly.
What is up with the RT31P2? |

I've had this problem too, but it's been a while since I tried it. If I remember right it did not work if going through our PIX firewall at work, but it did work if I went through our backup RR Business Class connection.
I ended up using VNC to my server.

I"m having the exact same problem, ssh worked fine when i left it on port 22, but when trying to change it, sometimes it works, other times it doesnt, and since i have 2 unix boxes i need to have 2 seperate ports forwarded
its very random, sometimes the first port will work fine, but the 2nd will not work at all, then neither of them will work.
if you've found a solution, please let me know |
