I order Vonage service on Oct 17th and was only able to make outbound calls for one week. I sat on the phone with a support rep 2 times and neither time was able to get the serve running. I don't have a dial tone and the phone light wont come on on the router. the internert, ethernet, and power lights are on but not the phone light. I was on the phone with the last service tech for 2 hours and I don't know what to do.
Help me please someone. |

So, the light on the Vonage box will not come on at ALL? Or it just will not stay solid?
Maybe your box is bad. |

Give us details please- model numbers of all equipment and how you have it cabled together. What are your upload and download speeds? What detailed results do you get on a test call at www.testyourvoip.com? See the stickies at the top of the forum for guidance on what to post. |

I'm a Vonage noob, and don't have the Linksys router, but some other questions may help fixing this.
1. Assuming you have internet through the router on the compuer, but the Vonage service is dead, did you change anything in the Vonage configuration?
2. Have you tried resetting the Linksys router settings to default, then cold-booting?
3. Did you have to spoof the Comcast recorded MAC address on the router? Did it change/ is it correct? Does the Vonage part of the router need the MAC address too?
4. Have you done anything unusual like flashing firmware, forward ports, or set up a DMZ? |

The light will not come on the Linksys router at all for the phone input. The three lights that are on are for the ethernet, internet and the power. I don't know how to do a test call.
And this is the second box I've been sent |
