Post subject: Busy signal after dialing
I had Vonage change my phone number so I could now have a local number. They did this promptly and put my old number as a virtual number for 7 days. Since then whenever I dial any number I get a busy signal. Have sent Customer care a couple of emails (as I have no phone) and have not received a response. I'm wondering if the virtual number has anything to do with the problem.

suggestion.....You should be able to call Vonage Cust Care Center. Off-network call are a problem. The gateway router to the PSTN is not recognizing your new number. Vonage Tech Supt is very poor in getting back to users in a timely (<24 hrs) manner. Too much growing pains.

This happened to me.
Spent about half an hour on my cell phone to tech support. They eventually gave up and had to ship me a new VoIP adapter.
Not that impressed as I had to then pay $35 to ship the old one back to them,
Chris
