For the last few weeks, I've been getting a cracking-type noise during phone calls. Both parties hear it, but it is intermittent. It seems to happen randomly, independent of any other bandwidth usage. When it happens, it can last anywhere from a few seconds to several minutes.

A few weeks ago, someone else reported the same type of problem, and the advice they got was that their RT31P2 was probably going bad and to have Vonage swap out an RTP300 instead.

Does that still sound like the right advice? Any problems to be aware of with the RTP300?
