Hi! I have a problem with the Vonage connection of my boss. This is my new connection

Light steady on wrt54gp2 (tel & lan) but when u used Wireless Phone, all you can hear is a grounded sound like.
Hope any one could help me. I need to use wrt54gs for my vpn because wrt54gp2 doesnt allow my vpn connection.
Thanks.

You have 2 wireless routers and a wireless phone. You may be getting interference between them. If the phone is a 2.4 GHz phone instead of a 5.8 GHz or 900 MHz phone, you'll have to do something about that. You should disable wireless operation of the WRT54GP2. |

i checked the voice status of wrt54gp2 on the setup page, and i saw this
Registration Status : 714-676-7152....xxx...Cannot connect to login server
What is this?? Something to do with the grounded noise??? |

What about the cordless phone? You still have one wireless router and a phone that may interfere. |

And if his Vonage router is reporting "registration status - cannot connect to login server" then its also possible that the proper ports aren't forwarded on the WRT54G - look up the Vonage FAQ about port forwarding, and make sure that you've forwarded all the proper ports. |

You can't disable the wireless router, but you can change phones if necessary. Is the cordless a 2.4 GHz? Can you try plugging a regular, corded phone in to see if that clears up the problem? |

The cordless phone is 5.8Ghz, i tried it on regular phone and it seems clear a little... so i guess my problem is the cordless phone...now how can i adjust the phone to 2.4Ghz...
Thank you very much... |

This maybe also due to the firewall on wrt54gs, you can try to disable the firewall on wrt54gs, and check out the difference. |
