I get 5.8-6Mbps from Speakeasy and testmy.net too and again if I go immediatley to Vonage forum's test my Voip is in the 3Mbps range.
It's just weird that only Vonage forum's test my Voip gives me the lower results......consistantly.
Keep in mind that any test you run tests not only the link from you to your ISP, but also the rest of the link from your ISP to the test facility. Different test facilities have different links. The slowdown at the Vonage Forum test site may be near their end and not near yours.
Oddly, 95% of the people that have issues with our test are using Comcast HSI, which leads me to belive that Comcast is using some kind of speed boost that our test does not like.
Regardless, I am going to revisit the code on our test to see if I can not find an error.
