Post subject: Connecting Vonage through DSL from Bahrti at Bangalore,India
Dan,
Thanks for the reminder !
My problem is simple. I have a
Vonage
router-cum-adapter (Linksys) which when connected across a Bharti DSL modem doesnt respond with a outgoing signal to either the PC or the phone.
The current access scenario is described below:
1. Connect DSL modem to PC (ethernet connection)
2. Execute connection software ( given by DSL provider) on PC
The problem : (with the new acces scenario)
1. Connect DSL modem to
Vonage
LINKSYS Router-cum-adapter
2. Connect router to PC
3. Try and execute DSL connection software ...nothing happens....the exe is either unable to recognize router or is looking for some specific IP of modem which it can't get - how does one overcome this ?
regards,
Pradeep
