I am currently at a Residence Inn that only has wireless high speed, and shared the wireless connection of my wireless card with the NIC card in the computer. Using a CROSSOVER cable I am able to plug my RTP300 into the ethernet port on my computer and Vonage works like a charm... |

That's terrific. I know we've suggested that as a possible solution for people with wireless access in apartments, but yours is the first report that I've seen on how it works. |

No sweat...I am actually amazed it is working as UPS trashed my computer during shipping. The wireless card's antenna was snapped off and almost pulled out of the card, but some tape etc got it to stay in place... |

From speakeasy.net from RI to NYC
Last Result: Download Speed: 1197 kbps (149.6 KB/sec transfer rate) Upload Speed: 840 kbps (105 KB/sec transfer rate)
Usually the DL is around 1500 kbps...not shabby for free... |

Darn good I'd say, especially the upload. You going to change your signature block? It will be a pretty unique setup now! |

If the guys from lodgenet were able to view the Vonage box on the network, that means your voice adapter already had an IP address otherwise they were not able to see the device. So I guess the problem was something related to the login or "I agree" page |
