Hai I been a Vonage customer for more than a year. I never had any issues with the service -of course i need to reboot the device whenever i have no dial tone. But right now i have a problem with the voice mail. Whenever i try to access the voice mail thro the phone - im getting a 'stutter tone ' - even when i clear all the messages in my voice mail i have the same stutter tone. i even enabled / disabled the voice mail - power cycled - tried with different phones - still the same problem - may be there could be some problem with the firmware 1.00.55 - is there any solution for this. it's really frustrating man. have any one come across this lind of issue ......................any remedy for this ............pl............ let me know. i called up to the cs all they want me to do is power cycle.....................deactivate/ activate the vm |

Other people have said that you should try leaving yourself a message and then deleting it. |

The two ways that have worked for me are:
1 - Leave yourself a new message and then dial into vm (*123) and delete it or...
2- The disable/enable voicemail from your Vonage Dashboard
Just leaving a new message and deleting it has always worked for me and is simpler than resetting the VM in Dashboard
YMMV |

If I listen/delete a voicemail using the phone, the stutter tone goes away as it should. But if I delete the vm using the web interface the stutter tone doesn't stop. Shouldn't this work? |

One suggestion is to delete the VM from you inbox on the web, and then select from the pull down menu to view your deleted messages, and delete them from the trash (like deleting from your recycle bin in Windows). This seems to help when simply deleting doesn't reset the message waiting indicator. As with all things Voip - Good Luck!! |
