Hello there Mrs. and/or Mr. Vonage guy/girl.
I got a proposition for you, I (Brad) will give one (Vonage) a batch of cookies and milk. In return for bringing the incredible serice of Vonage Voip to the 209 area code.
Its a win, win situation!!!

I also live in the 209 and would LOVE to see Vonage available here! We have enough of a high tech community here that many commute to San Jose/Silicon Valley daily by car and commuter trains... I am shocked that Vonage service is available in other areas of less "techie" population and not here!!! |

I want a 209 number too. I just got a Vonage (Earthlink Unlimited Voice) account, but it was with a 925 number. I'm surprised they don't at least setup 209 for Stockton and Modesto at least. I'd be content with a number for either of those two cities.
Sadly no Voip provider, that I know of, is in 209 yet. Closest are 925 and 916. Some have 559, which used to be 209. |

Dang it guys,
541 has to come in first! It's 1/2 of the state of Oregon! Also I wuz in line first.
I keep wondering just who the guy was that made himself the God of telephone numbers? I note that no cell phone carriers seem to have a problem but there are areas that virtually no Voip folk cover. I also note that Vonage Reps are not forthcoming when you finally get a hold of one to ask. |

I remember Bills like that before Vonage!!
Now, I have the 24.99 plan and it is the same low price every month!
I love this thing.. and I can control the kids phone access too!

Forgive me if someone has already posted this. I found this recently while browsing around:
"Coverage Area Vonage's service area encompasses over 2000 active rate centers in more than 150 global markets:
State College, PA Stockton, CA Syracuse, NY
Hey wait...doesn't that say "Stockton, CA?". So where's the 209 area code that goes with it???
Do you think it has something to do with Verizon's area of coverage? Maybe they don't like the idea of sharing? |
