Hey, Dan.
First, THANK YOU for these forums.
I was wondering, given a little confusion I see from time to time, if you might want to consider making the site look a little less "official Vonage".
I'm not talking about wearing baseball caps backward, getting an all-body tattoo, or going gothic. Just a few hints at the top of the page (instead of the legalese at the bottom that most of us don't get to for a long time because of all the cool content on the way down there).
Maybe the upper-left logo, instead of being the official Vonage logo, should be for "Vonage-Forum" with a tagline of "Independently supporting users of Vonage, the Broadband Phone Company"? Or "A Service Provided by Dan, an all around nice guy who obviously has too much bandwidth on his hands"? (grin)
Just a few randomly-firing synapses forming what might generously be called a "thought". |

I was thinking that too ... maybe use a completely different colour scheme or something like that ... It wasn't till you actually told me that I realised these forums weren't part of Vonage itself... |

Dan took the actual Vonage logo off the site some time ago and replaced it with the current "Vonage Forum" "An Independent Support Site".
I can see where the chosen colors and logo might still hint at it being a site owned and operated by Vonage, now that you mention it. I figured the logo at the top would be obvious, but of course I was here when the logo was the original Vonage logo.
I'm not being critical that you didn't notice, in fact it's very informative. Guess Dan might want to consider further changes. |
