Hello,
I have cable modem plugged into linksys RT31P2 and from that router to BEFW11s4 and getting "cable is unplugged" periodcally. Can someone advise of how to fix this?

First thing I'd check is whether the diagnostic is correct. Replace the patch cable and see if you might have a connect problem, and/or look at the plugs on both sides for any foreign matter, make sure the connectors look good in the sockets, etc.
You can also try another port in the router if you haven't already. |

In order for us to help you, you need to give us some more information.

From what you said above, it seems like you have a computer connected to the BEFW11s4 through a network cable is this correct?
Do you need the BEFW11s4 for its wireless capability?
In other words explain to us your setup and why you need the BEFW11s4...
If your answer is yes to the first and no to the second, then you should remove the BEFW11s4 from your setup all together and just connect your computer directly to port 1 of the RT31P2.
If you want to use the wireless feature of your BEF router, then you would want to disable your BEF router's features and make it simply a switch and an Access Point for wireless.
Please provide us more information so that we can help you. |
