3/4 calls are perfect. Sound great.
Around 1/4 calls, I dial, then nothing.
No ring. I hear nothing at all. Called party answers and hears nothing at all.
I have to hang up and call back, then it is perfect.
This happens every day. It is beginning to annoy the people I call.
Using a Motorola adapter.

log into http://192.168.102.1/admin.html and factory reset that muh.
See if that helps.
Also some more info about your network and ISP, computers, home wiring, interference sources, pets, all may help.

OK, did the reboot.
My home network:
Comcast -> Terayon cable modem ->
2003 server acting as router and firewall ->
100meg switch -> VT1000 MTA ->
Panasonic KXT61610 KSU -> telephone extensions
Pet: Great Dane
And, yes she does like cats, but they do tend to give her gas. |

Looks like we found the problem.
Its the firewall. OMG.
This is bad. I am attempting to take the MTA out of the firewalled network and put in in front of my server.
Yuck. I really did not want to do that.
More later if anything interesting happens. |

as long as you keep yor computers behind the firewall, you shouldn't have a reduction in security. So far, we haven't seen a worm or virus written to take control of Vonage adapters.
(I'm waiting though...) |
