In my experience, QOS doesn't help that much unless you're doing a lot of uploading. So unless you plan on hosting a web server, transmitting a bunch of files to an FTP site, or use file sharing software and let other people download from you, etc., I wouldn't worry about it for 3 weeks. Just my opinion.

Well, the reason I was considering a new router with QOS is becasue I am on the phone all day for work, and I am not sure how good the ISP is at the hotel yet... |

Hopefully the hotel doesn't block Voip. Some of them do. Remember you are sharing the Internet connection with a bunch of other people in the hotel. If they are using excessive bandwidth, it makes less bandwidth available to you. If it's not enough, then QOS won't do any good anyway, unless your router was placed where the hotel's Internet connection is coming in. Obviously, that's not going to happen so you'll have to connect it in the hotel room.

Interestingly I will be staying at a Marriott Residence Inn in Warwick, RI so I cannot picture that being a booming metropolis. |

You said something about a new house. Are you relocating to RI? |

Florida will be sorry to see you go, but I guess you can stop worrying about hurricanes. |

I really like the Stuart area...it is a great place to be, but since I work from the house the opportunity for my wife is one that cannot be passed up...But my parents have a place here on the intercoastal, so you can't get rid of me that easily...
I love it here, but life has a way of keeping things interesting...so it is just another adventure to embark on... |
