I started the process again, for the 4th time, on October 27th. Each time I have been advised my number cannot be ported, but the availability feature says it can. Numerous (supposedly) in depth inquiries by Vonage continue to tell me my number should be available for porting. My carrier is SBC, my Area Code is 309 and my prefix is 691(Peoria). This 4th time, I was contacted by Vonage and they told me to initiate the process. A good sign maybe? Anyway, fingers and toes are crossed. Wish me luck. |

Yes, each attempt costs $9.99. However, after each cancellation, my account is credited back the same amount, so it is a breakeven transaction. |
