problem with the second linksys router

I just got a second router for my children. It is a linksys router and it has the same IP no with my old router, so cable modem does not recognize it. How can i change the ip on linksys router?

I think you should post a diagram of what you're actually doing, because it isn't clear from your message.

A router will have two IPs - one on its WAN side and one on its LAN side. The WAN side one is (generally) supplied via DHCP from the ISP. The LAN side one is generally fixed (and will be 192.168.15.1 if it's an RTP300 - though you can change it if you want).

You can only have one router attached to the cable box, and so the second router will have to be attached to the first. In that case, the second router will get its WAN IP from the first, and will have a WAN IP like 192.168.15.100. That means that you'll have to change the subnet on the LAN side of the second router, so that there are different from the LAN side to the WAN side and the router knows what to do. You can use something like 192.168.1.* as the subnet.
