Anyone hear anything more about the WiFi phones since Vonage has missed 4 release dates now?

For example, Vonage, which plans to sell the UTStarcom beginning in October, offers unlimited local and long-distance calls to the United States, Canada and Puerto Rico for $24.99 a month. The phone will sell for $100, with in-store $50 rebates at major electronics stores

I just do not understand why they can't offer them, the beta has been almost a year and it is working for them and even for other companies. People that buy the phone can even use it on Vonage using the softphone option so it works just release it.....

I figured when they came out with it there would be a better option than the softphone option but at his point all they do is make promises saying it will be out but usually say before the release date it will be out later. This time they said OCTOBER and well it is NOVEMBER by my calendar and this time they didn't even bother to say another date just let it pass once again.

How can you depend on a company when all they have been doing is saying the phone is coming and basically was going to be out 6-7 months ago and just keep pushing it off. Technology is pretty much outdated within 6 months. There is now a second generation WiFi phone out yes same one, so when they finally release it we might get stuck with an outdated phone as well. Before this phone was the only one now they are combining cell phones with WiFi phones why cause the technology changed and the longer they wait the better phones and less use for thiers.
