I have a RTP300 with firmware rev 52 and was not getting caller id since I signed up 2 weeks ago. I have the phone adapter hooked in my house wiring. On a hunch, I disconnected a very old phone that was connected in my daughters room, and viloa ! caller ID now works everytime. The old phone was apparently loading the ringer circuitry down to the point that although the phone system functioned, the caller Id did not. (guessing here)
Just passing this along to see if it can help anyone else.
Also, No help from Vonage on this one. Only received the automated e--mail response. |

I hope this continues to work for you, but I (and others) have noted similar dependencies on line loading, only to have CID stop working again. Results for me simply haven't been consistent. |

CID is part of Halloween... Most of the times it's just tricks , sometimes it's all treats !
Happy Halloween!!! |

I wish that was the case....but I've been using the same basic config with my RTP300 from day 1... My "travel" config is just a simple Panasonic KX-TSC11B phone direct into the router and that also experiences problems. Now I'm even wondering when Vonage will finally push out 1.00.55 (or later) and fix this. |

Yes, it's getting pretty ridiculous. |

Given the length of this problem....they really should have forced a downgrade out there. Do we know if 1.00.52 fixed anything that wasn't working properly in 1.00.50? |

Yes, for me it fixed the "short ring" problem and the "busy signal on remote disconnect" problem. The latter was driving my wife crazy, so I turned down returning to 50. |

It would seem that after weeks of promises that Vontage should come out with an honest estimate of when the problem of No or intermittent CID will be solved and start issuing rebates!
When I called several days ago I was promised on month free, but have yet to see it on my bill. Are Rove and Dubya handling the PR for Vonage? |

I guess I celebrated a little too early on this. You guys were right, it worked fine for a few days, now tonight, caller id is broken again.
Arrrgh... This is really getting annoying... Where's that fix ? |

My WRTP54G was upgraded to .55 (I don't know when, I was out of town) and now my CID is dead... even after rebooting the router a few times. I've never had issues with CID until now. |
