Asterisk with Vonage

I've been trying to figure this out for the last 6 hours, I've read every post about Asterisk in this and many other forums, but I can't find a definative explanation

I want to set up an Asterisk box and use four existing cordless phones with it, I don't want to use Softphones or IP phones.

From what I've been able to understand so far it goes:

Cable Modem ->
Router ->
Vonage ATA ->
Asterisk Box -> 4 ATAs -> 4 Phones

Is this how it would work?
How would I attach the ATAs to the Asterisk box? 5 Ethernet Cards?

It'll take far more than 6 hrs of research to get an Asterisk system going... especially if you're not understanding basic ethernet networking....

You're going to need:
1 FXO card (for the Vonage adapter to connect to the Asterisk PBX)

1 4 port FXS card (for the cordless phones to connect to)
*OR*
4 ATAs, 1 for each extension
*OR*
a combination of FXS cards & ATAs.

As far as the ethernet connections, your that you're planning on using probably only has 1 ethernet jack, so you'd connect that to a switch/hub and then connect the ATAs to that switch. Also keep in mind that you're going to want to dedicate a computer to running Asterisk and nothing else to minimize problems. Since the computer's processing the phone calls, any slowdowns on the PC are going to result in dropped packets (dropouts in the audio) and potentially lost connections.
