I have an RPT300 w/ 1.00.55 and am not getting any CID unless I reboot the TA, but I'd have to reboot after every call to get CID for the next call. I've also seen dead-spots during calls. Can't hear caller, caller can't hear me for about 2-4 seconds. Did not see any of these issues with 1.00.50.

Don't you mean 1.00.52?

Yes, thanks for catching that. I edited the original message.

I have the WRTP54G. Is that on the same software upgrade path (in terms of release dates and version numbers) as the 300?

I'm on 1.00.52 on that router, and it's driving me nuts!

Thanks in advance to anyone who can clarify that. I don't see anything that tells me what version should be loaded, when Vonage will load it, etc.

I have a WRTP54G, not a 300, but the unit was upgraded recently to the infamous 1.0.52 and I've had to reboot the stupid thing several times a day. Today, things came to a head - I was having to reboot the router every few hours, and my Vonage line was taking several minutes to re-provision each time.

Finally, in frustration, I called Vonage. It took a while (10 min?) on hold, but I got through to a very nice gentleman who acknowledged that 1.00.52 had some serious problems (mine went FAR beyond losing caller ID).

Anyway, the gentleman agreed to release 1.00.55 to me "early", and a few minutes later my router rebooted and I was (and am) on 1.00.55 - time will tell whether it actually fixes my problem, but the router is most certainly working better so far (reprovision took all of the usual 20-30 seconds I was used to before 1.00.52, and things seem snappy).

If you have 1.00.52, 1.00.55 is a phone call and a little pleading away, apparently.

PS: And my score on http://www.testyourvoip.com went from a 2.5 (crummy cell call) to a 3.9 (a little better than "decent cell").

Interesting, 1.00.55 wasn't on their servers a couple of days ago. It's there now...

They're probably getting ready to do a mass dump of it in the next few days, but they'll give it to those of us who whine early to shut us up. (grin)

PS: is there a way (other than calling) to see what version is out there?

follow-up, I unplugged a device from my in-house wiring, and it worked... this method did not fix the issue with .52. still don't understand what's up since my existing wiring worked fine with both the old Cisco 186 and Motorola devices...Oh well, guess I'll wait for .56
