EASY Vonage install

I just wanted to say how easy my Vonage install was. I have Time Warner Road Runner Cable Internet, in central new york. The install couldnt have been easier.

I have a dlink 524 wireless router. I put the Vonage router after my wireless router, plugged it in and it worked immediatly. NO setup required. This was my number transfer, pretty fast I believe, I was switching from MCI:

September 28, 2005 Awaiting Letter of Authorization
September 29, 2005 Letter of Authorization (LOA) Received
September 30, 2005 Transfer Sent to Carrier
October 14, 2005 Carrier Approved Transfer
October 18, 2005 Completed LNP Transfer

I have not had any problems with echo, dropped calls or anything else. The only problem I had was no phone jack near my PC, so I had to run a new phone wire, but was not a Vonage problem.

A+ conversion in my opinion, went down from $50 a month to $16!

People on this forum blame every problem they have on Vonage ie: cable/dsl modem problems, wiring problems, router problems, phone problems - so why not blame no phone jack on Vonage. Darn it Vonage should have installed a phone jack.

Hahahahaha! Now that would be a new one to blame on them also! I also blame Vonage for whenever I overcook a steak, stub my toe, or it rains...

No worries at all...After some time you will see that alot of people blame just about EVERYTHING on Vonage...

You said you were in Cental NY on Road Road are you by any chance on the hudson valley/catskils (hvc) region. The reason why I ask is because my connection (to rr) has been dropping lately just wondering if it's only me.

Vontage install was also very easy for me too.

My Vonage adapter's color scheme clashes with my room decor! Now my dog is upset because of the color scheme! Vonage should pay for my pet's therapist.
