Hi
I just purchased a refurbished PAP2. But trying to actually sign up for an account has proved to be a real pain so far. Attempted to go through the website, I repeatable got an error at the last step recommending that i contact customer service if the problem continues. I called and the rep walked through the steps getting all my information. At the end the rep said that everything was done and I'd receive an email within an hour with all my info. 2 hours later, still no email. 2nd call to customer service and they can find no record of my account. She said she'd look into it and call me tomorrow morning.
Reading through some of the post I believe I saw I post saying that if someone registers with a MAC and later cancels the PAP becomes useless. Is this true? Could this be the problem?
Thanks Carbon-14 |

where did you buy this refurb PAP2?
it is true that Vonage won't activte a device that has been previously activcated, (unless it was activated by you on the same acct).. did you tell CS that the device was purchased as a refurb? |

I bought it at Futureshop... I've talked to CS a third time and now they say they've been having problems with their retail activation and thats the reason i've been having problems. I specifically asked if there was any problem with using a refurbished adapter and was told no that was not the problem. Not sure what to think now. |

RUN and RUN fast. or get another adapter... the PAP2 is problematic... and I can vouch for that.
If you bough the refurb at a place like futureshop I dont think there should be a problem. esp. if the support says there is no problem. I cant see why Vonage will not activate a previously activated MAC id. Even though i have read that they do this before.
Anyways... I recommend you stay away from the PAP2 and run with another adapter.
