A lot of people come here with problems and complaints. That's what these forums are for; but for a change of pace.
What do you like most about Vonage?
1) Cost.. Cheapest phone service I've ever used!
2) Lots of features included
3) Most of my friends have cell phones as their primary phone. Their rate plans have free incoming calls.. So it doesn't cost us anything to talk to each other.

Here are the closest two to the top:
(1) Price - but that isn't all that is important because a bunch of companies offer low price.
(2) Reliability - not had a single problem.
The combination of the above two make Vonage a winning choice. The features become the icing on the cake.
But the #1 choice: I don't deal with Verizon anymore!
By the way, Vonage owes Verizon a finder's fee. If it wasn't for Verizon I wouldn't have Vonage. Not that I would go back to a POTs service. I'm hooked now. |

1) The price. No more gouging from Verizon. I'm saving approximately $636 per year using Vonage.
2) The quality. My calls are crystal clear... Verizon's had lots of static, especially when it rained.
3) The features. I especially enjoy having voice-mail messages delivered to me via email, and I make great use of SimulRing. |

1) Price. As with most people who have responded, I save a pretty good chunk of money. Since I live in the L.A. area and there are at least a dozen area codes, I save a bunch on long distance.
2) Virtual numbers. Not only do I have a toll free number for business, but I'm able to have a local number for my parents. They save over $60 on long distance and they aren't even with Vonage (due to lack of broadband).
3) SimulRing. All people need to do is dial one number to reach me whether I be at home, or out and about. |

1) Simulring -- this accomplishes what I've attempted to do with elaborate (and expensive) call forwarding schemes
2) Price -- I wouldn't be exaggerating if I said I'm saving $150-200/month with Vonage
3) Reliability -- Vonage has been more reliable than my landline services have been (Still waiting Sprint... 4 days now without phone service since Hurricane Wilma...and the phone lines are intact... get a damn generator out to the CO! This is on top of the 4 days they were out earlier this year due to a cable (not sure if it was fiber or copper) getting cut.) My ISDN lines are down at work (as well as POTS), so it looks like I might be doing the radio broadcast over Vonage this weekend.
4) Call Transfer -- I miss having this feature from the big PBX's, use it pretty regularly, especially during natural disasters when I need to connect people together but don't need to hang around for the rest of the conversation...and can move onto the next phone call. |

Kevin, give me back my wallet!
1) Price-Can't be beat for all the features, no long distance.
2) The RTP300-I think this is one hell of a adaptor.
3) Call quality and stabilty-I have clear calls that don't drop...
4) Even my wife likes it. |

ditto.
For me, two features have been a tremendous benefit. First, the VM attached to an email is awesome.
Second, the call forwarding feature is neat since I can call long distance from work without having to use a calling card.
I do like the fact that my bill is instantly updated after every call.
The most awesome benefit though is price. I was paying in the high $50s every month for SBC (soon to be called AT&T)... Now only paying $16.94. Can't beat that. International rates appear to be fairly competitive with pre-paid calling cards. |
