I dont see a problem using the extra digit, I got acustom to within couple days so did my wife. When my family visit I tell them to dial i before the the number and they just say ok.
We are creatures of habits and we dont like change but remember that using that one extra digit is saving you money every month. My bill went from $80.00 per month to just $25.00 per month. I got acustom to that extra one digit real quick

Hopefully in the near future they will fix this. It's not that bad, but surely its not such a tough thing to implement on their end. Maybe they could even add the ability to set your area code on the control panel. And as for transporting the unit to different locations, how hard would it be for the system to default back to 11 digit dialing after it notices your ip has changed? |

Everyone leaves my house and wants nothing to do with Voip if that's the way it works.
I think it's a bigger deal than you think -- especially if Vonage is being used as the primary dial tone. |
And that's yet another small reason why dumb people are poorer than smart ones! (no offense to your relatives).
I mean, this is not rocket science and it's sooo easy. |
