I have the 14.99 plan and yes, the forwarded calls show up as outbound calls but the number of minutes left do not change ! It could be something to do with my temp (virtual) number, and it may be different for people who have had their number transferred succesfully. Anybody on the 14.99 plan with a "real" (not virtual) number who has actually set up the call forwarding, make a call to yourself, do not pick it up, let it transferred to your cell phone, and see if your minutes-left number change ?

Yes, You are charged for calls that are fwd'd. I had it setup for selective fwd'ing (IE: rings both phone and cell phone) If I answer on the cell phone the min's come out of the 500. it shows up in the call history and reduces the remaining min's under the plan.

No, but Vonage track's call activity for your information.

I see your reference to the Q&A site. I am on the $24.99 plan (unlimited local, 500 min LD). I asked Vonage CS about toll-free numbers and got the following email:
"Yes, 800 numbers will count against you[sic] 500 minutes of free long distance."

Can anyone confirm which is true? Thanks.

I can confirm that 800 numbers are completely free. They show up on their own line on your Vonage bill. The number of minutes is shown as "free minutes."
