I'm not sure you could have been any more vague.
What are your needs? How many lines, how many stations. What features do you need? |

These guys have a couple you way want to look at. Since it appears you are just looking for some info, this may be a good place to start as they have a lot of it.

If you're at all handy with Linux might I suggest buying the WalMart $199 PC with Linux on it, then going to Digium's web and buying a 4 port FXS card for $300 or so. For around $500 you could have a 1x4 phone system that does the following (Though this is a small subset!)
a) Anonymous Call Rejection b) Per line Caller-ID blocking. c) Understands pulse dial
There are a host of other features. It also has SIP and G.729 and G.711 codecs so it'll talk to Vonage just like your MTA does. |

Nice suggestion. As a matter of fact I have done exactly that. I am in the process of loading Asterick on it as we speak. Since its not a money maker for me (yet) it is a process. It will be sweet to have a Voip phone system for less than 400 per port. |

I may even go the freecycle route and pick up a freebie P2 or P3 and slap linux on that. I've got the RH9 distributon on CD so that wouldn't be an issue.
It'd save me the $200+tax, and I'm a frugal guy. I'd think that is obvious from the fact I use Vonage.
Once I get mine up and running I'll report back. I've even got the boss interested at work. Seems we've got an AT&T G3iV11 with Intuity vm but we don't use the VM. I told him we have enough Linux boxes that we should chuck Asterisk on one and push some of our centrex lines into it. |
